Police close street off of Stuart Point Road in Seabrook to investigate drive-by shooting

Several homes and cars were hit by bullets after shooting broke out from people in two cars Sunday afternoon in Seabrook, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office alert.

Officers were called to Stuart Point Road near Gillison Loop after people in the two cars, a black Dodge Durango and a black Honda Civic, started shooting in the area around 2 p.m. The alleged shooters did not fire at each other, Maj. Bob Bromage with the Sheriff’s Office said.

No injuries were reported in the shooting, the alert said.

Each car was carrying at least three people. After the shooting, the cars drove off towards Trask Parkway.

Authorities said Gillison Loop is closed for an investigation.

Anyone with information may call the Sheriff’s Office emergency dispatch or 911.
