Police looking for person who shot and killed 2 women at a party Saturday in Seabrook

Two women were shot and killed after a “dispute” at a party in Seabrook, according to an alert from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Flora Mae Gantt, 74, of Walterboro, and Shaina Mulligan, 30, of Beaufort were shot at the party, the alert said. Gantt was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the alert, and Mulligan died while on the way to a hospital.

Deputies responded to Detour Road in Seabrook after getting a call about shots fired in the area around 11 p.m. Saturday, the alert said. When the deputies arrived, they found the two shooting victims.

No arrests have been made as of noon Sunday.

Forensic autopsies will be conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting.
