4 injured in Hilton Head shooting Wednesday night, police say. No arrests yet

A shooting near Spanish Wells Road on Hilton Head Island left four injured Wednesday night, with one person in critical condition, according to police.

Deputies responded to a disturbance call at Muddy Creek and Spanish Wells roads after 10 p.m. and found a large crowd in the road gathered around four people who had been shot, according to a release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The release said all four were transported to Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, two by air and two by ambulance.

On Thursday morning, three were listed in stable condition, and one was critical, the sheriff’s office reported.

No arrests have been made, and the location of the suspected shooters are unknown, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The agency said it recovered two guns and “multiple cartridge casings of varying caliber.”
