Bluffton men charged with sexual assault of 2 minors over the course of 3 years, police say

Two Bluffton men were charged Thursday with the sexual assault of two minors over a three-year period, according to police.

Iram Lopez-Rios, 31, and Antonio Villalta-Lara, 39, were charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor in the second degree, according to Beaufort County Detention Center jail logs.

The female victims reported the men to Bluffton police in mid April, saying the“the incidents had taken place multiple times,” according to a report from the Bluffton Police Department.

Both men are being held at the Beaufort County Detention Center with bonds set at $75,00 each, according to jail records.

Criminal sexual conduct in the second degree is a felony. Conviction can bring up to 20 years in prison, according to S.C. law.
