Police ask for help in finding missing 67-year-old Hilton Head woman

Police are looking for a 67-year-old Hilton Head Island woman who was reported missing by her family Wednesday.

Theresa Ortiz was last seen leaving her Indian Trail home at 6 a.m., according to a news release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

“This afternoon, Sheriff’s Office deputies located Theresa’s vehicle in the Burke’s Beach parking lot, but have yet to locate her.

She may still be on foot in Burke’s Beach area,” the release said.

Her family is concerned for her well-being since Ortiz “has numerous medical conditions,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday morning, the Sheriff’s Office was still looking for Ortiz.

Ortiz is Hispanic, 5’ 01” tall, 100 pounds, with red and white curly hair and green eyes.

Anyone who comes into contact with Ortiz or who knows her whereabouts is urged to call 911.
