26-year-old man shot in head in Jasper County drive-by shooting, police say
A 26-year-old man in Jasper County was shot in the head and taken to a hospital after a drive-by shooting early Monday morning, according to police.
A bullet grazed his head, and he was flown to Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah in serious condition, said Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Det. Sgt. Jake Higgins.
Higgins said the man is now in stable condition.
Multiple shots were fired just before 2 a.m. at a house on Grahamville Road where several people were inside, said Higgins.
He said the shots were fired from a car. A white, four-door car was seen driving near the home at the time of the shooting, according to Higgins.
