Police looking for missing Bluffton man after finding car abandoned on Savannah bridge

Police are looking for a Bluffton man who went missing in Savannah over the weekend after an argument. Officers found the man’s car abandoned on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge and began searching, according to authorities.

Brian LeBaron, 43, of Bluffton was first reported missing by his wife, and authorities found his car early Sunday morning, according to Bianca Johnson, public information officer for the Savannah Police Department.

Johnson said Savannah Fire Department and Chatham Marine Patrol searched the water in the Savannah River and the surrounding areas but were unable to find LeBaron.

She said the case has been handed over to the department’s Special Victims’ Unit, where LeBaron is listed as a missing person.

Game wardens with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources continued searching for LeBaron in the same area as other first responders Monday afternoon, according to Georgia DNR Law Enforcement spokesperson Mark McKinnon.
