One man shot early Sunday at Hilton Head’s ‘Triangle’, police say

A man is being treated for a gunshot wound at Savannah Memorial Health Hospital Sunday after being shot in a common area of the popular ‘Barmuda Triangle’ restaurant district on Hilton Head Island, said Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Major Bob Bromage.

Police were called to the scene at about 12:30 a.m. after a report of a shot fired while a small group of people were engaged in a “scuffle”, Bromage said.

There is no evidence or witness statements to indicate there was any exchange of gunfire between multiple people, Bromage said.

A suspect has not been identified but a handgun believed to be involved in the shooting was found at the scene.

The Triangle is comprised of a group of restaurants and bars at 7 Greenwood Drive including One Hot Mama’s, The Lodge and Reilley’s Grill & Bar.
