Former Beaufort County bus driver, substitute teacher faces child pornography charges

A former Beaufort County school bus driver and substitute teacher is facing charges after allegedly uploading child pornography, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Shawn Lambe, 54, faces three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the 3rd degree after being arrested at his Grays Hill home Monday morning, said Sheriff’s Office Maj. Bob Bromage.

Court records show Lambe’s bond was set at $5,000 on each of charge.

Lambe posted bond and was released from the detention center at noon on Tuesday, according to the Beaufort County Detention Center jail logs.

Lambe was a part-time bus driver for the Beaufort County school district from October 2017 to December 2018 and a substitute teacher through the district’s contractor from September 2017 to May 2019, according to district spokesman Jim Foster.

Sheriff deputies obtained warrants to search Lambe’s residence and to arrest him after receiving a tip from the S.C. Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children, a release from the sheriff’s office said.
