Nearly a dozen shots fired in parking lot Beaufort Co. gas station Monday evening, deputies say

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired around 8:45 p.m. Monday at the Parker’s gas station on St. Helena Island.

Maj. Bob Bromage, spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office, said Tuesday that there have been no reports of injuries and nothing appears to have been damaged at the gas station.

Prior to the shots, witnesses reported hearing men arguing, he said.

Deputies collected about a dozen cartridge casings from the parking lot, Bromage said.

The Sheriff’s Office has identified persons of interest, but no one has been charged as of Tuesday morning.
