Hilton Head woman left her car unlocked in the driveway, report said. $5k was snatched

A Hilton Head woman discovered her purse, that had thousands of dollars in cash, vanished from her unlocked car, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The woman left her pink Michael Kors purse — that had $5,000 cash, her passport, medical cards, and debit cards in it — in her car parked in her Bligen Lane driveway overnight, the report said.

She thought she could retrace her steps and find the purse, but when that didn’t work she went to the bank to check her account, the report said. One of her cards had already been used by someone else online.

Deputies gave her the case number and advised she lock her car in the future, the report said.
