A thirsty thief was in and out of this Hilton Head store in 30 seconds
In less than 30 seconds, a man walked into a Hilton Head store, grabbed two cases of Corona beer, and walked out without paying, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.
The incident took place at 9:44 a.m. Friday at the CVS Pharmacy at 10 Pope Ave.
The store manager told deputies he recognized the man from a shoplifting incident the previous day and tried to catch him before he left, but was unsuccessful, the report said.
The suspect is a black man and was wearing a gray shirt, blue or black shorts, sandals, and a blue baseball hat with a red bill at the time of the incident, the report said.
He had not been identified as of Monday afternoon.
