Hilton Head man stopped for speeding charged with much more when cops look in the car
A Hilton Head Island man faces multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Jasper County Friday night, according to a Jasper County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Davon Parlor faces charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule II narcotics, possession with intent to distribute schedule IV narcotics, possession with intent to distribute MDMA (ecstasy) and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, according to online Jasper County court records.
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office pulled Parlor over for speeding near Calf Pen Bay in northern Jasper County around 6:30 p.m., according to the release. Inside the car, deputies found “more than 1/2 pound of marijuana, 37 illegally possessed scheduled prescription pills and 13 tablets of MDMA (ecstasy),” according to the Sheriff’s Office. He also had a legally possessed handgun in the car.
Parlor was released from Jasper County Detention Center on bond, set at $5,000 for each offense or $20,000 total.
