Collision sends vehicle crashing into William Hilton Parkway pump house. 2 hospitalized

Two people were hospitalized following a two vehicle collision on William Hilton Parkway early Saturday evening, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. when a vehicle turned onto westbound William Hilton Parkway from Old Wild Horse Road, striking another westbound vehicle and knocking it off the road, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Bob Bromage said.

Following the collision, the vehicle that was hit left the road, hitting the pump house of a local business, Bromage said.

The two occupants of the vehicle that hit the pump house were transported to a local hospital with what Bromage believed likely to be minor injuries.

According to footage from Beaufort County traffic cameras, traffic is now moving normally in the area.
