A realtor said while checking an empty house she is contracted to sell in Moss Creek, she found items that made it appear the home had been broken into, a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report states.

The realtor said she found drug paraphernalia, including a rubber pipe, in one of the bathrooms of the residence.

There also was a waxy black substance in the bathroom, the realtor told police. She said cleaned the substance before police arrived because she had a showing scheduled.

Two lawn chairs along with a backpack also were found in a bedroom of the house, the report states. Multiple windows, which were previously locked, had been unlocked.

The owner of the home lives out of state, the report states. The owner told police he suspected a teenager who lived in the neighborhood.

The teenager was questioned by police but denied entering the home.
