Ex punches, kicks woman while picking up child from Hilton Head home, police report says
A woman told police her ex-boyfriend punched her more than 12 time along with kicked her while she was trying to pick-up their son Wednesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.
Deputies responded to a call from Hilton Head Island Emergency Room regarding the incident.
The woman said she has not been in a romantic relationship with her ex-boyfriend for more than a year. She said the ex-boyfriend took the son for Halloween so she decided to go out with friends, the report states.
While out, she ignored a call from the ex-boyfriend, the report says.
The next morning she went to pick up the child from the ex-boyfriend’s home where he began screaming at her asking where she had been the night before, the report states.
The man punched her in the forehead, left eye and both sides of her head before she fell to the ground, the report says. It says the man then started kicking her on both sides of her ribs.
While in a fetal position the man began punching her in the back of the head multiple times, the report states.
The child, who witnessed the attack, started to cry causing the man to stop, the report states. The man crushed the woman’s cell phone before leaving the residence.
Deputies witnessed multiple injuries on the woman including a gauge earring being ripped out, a black and blue left eye, a noticeable swelling on the right side of her front forehead, large bump on the right side of her head and on the back of her head.
An arrest warrant was issued for the man for Domestic Violence in the 2nd Degree and petit larceny.
