Mom calls police on son allegedly trying to stab brother on Hilton Head Island

A mother pulled over her car on the side of William Hilton Parkway on Hilton Head Island Thursday and called police as one of her juvenile sons tried to stab her other son with a box cutter, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The son said he started the fight when he called his brother a “fat f**k”, according to the police report. He said he pulled out the box cutter after growing angry when his brother called him names in response, the report says.

The victim said his brother attempted to choke him as well as stab him with the box cutter, the report states.

Deputies inspected the box cutter, which they determined was dull, the report states. They also noted several scratches on the victim’s arms which could have been caused by the dull blade.

The suspect was arrested and later released to an older sibling after the mother refused to allow her son back in her home.
