State employee’s car broken into while parked at Beaufort County Law Enforcement Center
A South Carolina Department of Corrections employee told Beaufort County Sheriffs deputies Friday that her car was broken into and several items stolen.
The victim said she parked her Ford Fusion in front of the Beaufort County Law Enforcement Center at Duke Street for about an hour and a half. When she returned to the vehicle she noticed several items were missing including S.C. Department of Corrections property, a sheriffs office report states.
A state issued Dell laptop, Verizon Mifi and key fob were all missing, according to the report. The victim told deputies she believed her vehicle was locked when she left.
