You can now resolve your Beaufort County traffic ticket at a convenient night court
In addition to regular daytime court schedules, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputies will be scheduling traffic offenses to be heard weekly on Tuesdays nights in Beaufort and Thursday nights in Bluffton, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
In coordination with Beaufort County Chief Magistrate Lawrence McElynn, a magistrate will be on-site for the purposes of accepting guilty pleas for uncontested traffic tickets and conducting bench trials for contested traffic tickets, the release said.
The night hearings will begin next week and are intended only for traffic offenses. Jury trials and criminal offenses will remain scheduled for day courts.
Night court times and places are:
▪ 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 104 Ribaut Road, Beaufort
▪ 7 p.m. Thursdays at 4819 Bluffton Parkway, Bluffton
