Insults were hurled in Hilton Head dispute. Deputies were called after milk was, too

An argument between a Hilton Head Island couple early Wednesday morning began with the hurling of insults and ended with the hurling of a glass of milk, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report released Friday.

The husband told deputies that he and his wife began arguing after she called his daughter fat, the report said.

At some point, according to the wife and a man who rents a room in the house, the husband threw milk at the her, according to the report.

When deputies arrived soon after the argument, they “observed furniture throughout the apartment turned over” and “milk on the kitchen floor and on the side of the counters,” the report said.

Despite the mess, deputies “determined no physical altercation occurred” and the couple agreed to spend the remainder of the night in separate rooms “to diffuse the situation,” according to the report.
