Camouflaged thieves walk out with merchandise in Bluffton stores
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify two theft suspects who dressed in camouflage as they stole merchandise from two Bluffton stores.
One suspect entered the Polo Ralph Lauren store at Tanger 1 Outlet on Wednesday around 3 p.m. and filled a bag with merchandise valued at $1,440 before leaving the store, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The suspect was wearing a thick camo jacket and red pants. He is described as an African American man around 5-feet-8-inches tall and approximately 210 pounds with shoulder length dreadlocks, the release said. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s and fled the scene in a champagne colored SUV with Georgia tags, the release said.
The second suspect stole $650 in merchandise from Best Buy on an the same day around 3:50 p.m., the release said.
He was also wearing a woodland camo jacket with a red shirt, khaki shorts and flip flops. He was described as a white male around 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds and has red hair, the release said.
The suspect fled in a maroon Mercedes with Florida license plates.
