Woman armed with spray bottle allegedly assaulted Sea Pines security

A Sea Pines Plantation resident allegedly assaulted two Sea Pines security officers near her home just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

The officers were monitoring tree service personnel near the woman’s Greenwood Court home when she allegedly caused a disruption to the workers, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The woman allegedly began spraying one of the officers with a spray bottle and then punched him several times in the head, according to the report. She also allegedly kicked a second officer in the chest after he got her into his patrol car.

The woman was arrested on two charges of third degree assault and battery and taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center, where she remained Sunday afternoon with bond set at $2,175, according to detention center online records.
