The man pounding on the drive-through window wanted cigarettes and a job

A man was issued a trespass notice and arrested after banging on a Chick-fil-A drive-through window and shouting at customers around 6 a.m. on Malphrus Road in Bluffton.

The man was allegedly walking through the drive-through, pounding on the window and demanding cigarettes, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

A short time after the manager told him to leave, the man came back and started going up to cars that were trying to get through the drive-through and yelling at them to give him cigarettes and a job, according to the report.

When deputies arrived, the man was over in the Lowe’s parking lot, yelling at people to let him help them load their lumber into their cars, according to the report. While the deputy was trying to speak with him, the man kept shouting at people and trying to approach them.

He shouted, “I ain’t doing nothing wrong!” but continued to harass customers, according to the report. The man was placed under arrest for public disorderly conduct and issued the trespass after notice form for Chick-fil-A.
