Memory of young boy killed by gunfire will live on through playground named for him

A playground will open Nov. 18 in honor of Khalil Singleton, a young boy who was killed by a stray bullet during a 2012 gun fight on Hilton Head Island.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the Khalil Singleton Discovery Playground will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 18 at The Boys and Girls Club of Hilton Head Island, 151 Gum Tree Road .
