Georgia man facing child molestation charges arrested in Hardeeville

A man facing aggravated child molestation charges was arrested Thursday morning in Hardeeville.

Alberto Trujillo was at a residence on St. Phillips Road when he was arrested about 11:30 a.m., according to a news release from City of Hardeeville spokesperson Juan Singleton.

Trujillo faces charges in Garden City, Ga., according to the release. Officers from that city’s police department and Hardeeville Police Department made the arrest.

His last know address is in Garden City.

Trujillo is currently awaiting extradition from the Jasper County Detention Center, according to the release.

Details of his crime are not being released .

“Hardeeville Police Chief Sam Woodward wants to thank the community for their help in this case,” the release said. Woodward’s department had released a “be on the lookout” for Trujillo on Wednesday.
