How nice it is to take a vacation to a place that seems like ‘home-away-from-home.’

That’s what you’ll find when reaching the end of your travels 400 miles south of Bluffton in Bradenton Beach, Fla., on Anna Maria Island. You leave the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic Ocean on the East Coast and enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico on the Gulf Coast.

Plus, if you’re lucky enough to have reservations at Koi One apartment rentals, it really is like home-away-from-home,’ where up to six folks can enjoy a two bedroom apartment with dining room, living room, and kitchen with all the comforts of home in spittin’ distance to the west, and the breaking waves of the Gulf of Mexico where you can virtually see the sun sink into the water in the evenings. To the east, there’s the calm serenity of Sarasota Bay, where the early bird can see the sunrise in the mornings.

Bridge Street is a hop-skip-and-a-jump’ walking distance from Koi One apartments on 4th street and that’s where on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., you can snag some luscious vegetables and browse arts and crafts at the Bridge Street Market. It’s not as big and sprawling as Bluffton’s Thursday market on Calhoun Street, but its just as busy with folks bagging up fresh, colorful vegetables of all varieties such as onions, beets, huge radishes, tomatoes, corn, carrots, assorted greens and peppers, cucumbers, squash, cantaloupe, and pineapple.

If you were smart enough to carry an Igloo cooler, you can fill it up, enough to tide’ you over for your return trip to Bluffton just in time to visit our own market and catch up visiting with your neighbors.

Its the best of two worlds - good food and friends from the East Coast to the Gulf Coast.
