Colorful end to the Beaufort Water Fest Bed Race

Friday’s Beaufort Water Festival Bed Race featured six teams who competed for speed and best dressed and ended with Jason Berry, 62nd Beaufort Water Festival commodore, covered from head to toe in colored powder.

The winners from the Beaufort Water Festival bed races were team Have a Nice Day for ‘Best Dressed’. They are a team of friends all from Beaufort who dressed as four Forest Gumps running with a Lt. Dan on the hospital bed. Amanda Kata, Lauren Rhoten, Courtney Humes and Kate Cappelmann all dressed as Forrest Gump and Jade Cappelmann was dressed as Lt. Dan. Fripp Island got second in this category.

The team with the best time was Cross Fit of Beaufort.
