A Water Festival tradition: Dinner and a show at Taste of the Lowcountry
With no rain in the forecast, more than several hundred people enjoyed plates filled with shrimp, sausage, corn and freshly cut watermelon at Thursday night’s Lowcountry Supper during the 62nd Annual Beaufort Water Festival at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in Beaufort.
Local rotary clubs and local officials served the local favorite to hungry people lined up down the sidewalk along Bay Street.
People may have come for the food but they stayed for the entertainment. The Broke Locals and Eric Daubert entertained the crowd with special appearances by Candice Glover and The Whistlers who were portrayed by past commodores Bill Damude, Brandy Gray, Chris Cannady, Dan Thompson and Craig McTeer.
