Passengers, including infant, spared serious injury in Laurel Bay rollover
Visitors in town for a Marine Corps Recruit Depot graduation escaped serious injury after their vehicle flipped and rolled several times near Laurel Bay on Wednesday afternoon.
A Beaufort County emergency services vehicle saw the vehicle roll several times near Trask Parkway and Shanklin Road about 2:30 p.m.
Three passengers, including a baby, were taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, according to Burton Fire District spokesman Dan Byrne.
The Burton Fire District and Marine Corps Air Station Fire Department responded to the wreck, which closed Trask Parkway toward Beaufort for about 30 minutes.
