Hear explosions near MCAS Beaufort this week? Here’s what’s up

People who live and work near Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort might have heard explosions this week.

Marine units had three days of training this week to neutralize improvised explosive devices. The training began Tuesday and is expected to end Thursday by 11 p.m.

Explosions might be heard off base and after business hours.
