Naval Hospital Beaufort to conduct anti-terrorism exercises

The Navy will conduct anti-terrorism training from Jan 30. through Feb. 10 at Naval Hospital Beaufort in Port Royal.

The annual exercise ensures Navy security forces are ready and able to work with other commands and agencies, a news release said. Nearby residents may see and hear the activities, though steps have been taken to avoid disrupting the base and surrounding community, the release said.

The training has been coordinated with local law enforcement and emergency responders.
