See or hear anything unusual on Parris Island? It’s just anti-terrorism training

Did you hear or see anything out of the ordinary at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island on Tuesday?

Chances are, it was part of planned anti-terrorism training, a depot news release said. Area residents and Parris Island visitors were told they might see and hear simulated weapons fire and Beaufort County emergency vehicles on the base as part of training Tuesday.

The exercise was expected to last from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
