2 local agencies recognized for efforts to promote breastfeeding to WIC moms

Two local agencies that participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children have received the Loving Support Award of Excellence from the USDA for their efforts in supporting breastfeeding WIC moms.

Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services and Bluffton Health Clinic were recognized during the USDA’s National WIC Breastfeeding Week from Aug. 1-7. Five other agencies in South Carolina also received the award.
