Hit and run on Broad River Bridge causes traffic delays

A hit and run accident caused delays on westbound SC 170 on the Broad River Bridge on Wednesday morning.

Injuries and damage were minor, Burton Fire District Spokesman Day Byrne said. No one was transported to the hospital, he said.

One lane was temporarily closed at about 7 a.m. causing traffic to back up. All lanes were open just before 8 a.m.
