Lady’s Island teen charged in home invasion
A Lady’s Island teenager has been charged in connection with a Spanish Point home invasion.
Colby Logan, 18, was arrested Friday and charged with armed robbery, burglary and conspiracy related to an incident at a Spanish Point home on July 15, a Beaufort Police Department news release said. He is being held at Beaufort County Detention Center, according to jail logs.
He was still confined Friday evening, with no bail amount listed.
Anton Potter, 18, is at large and wanted for the same charges.
At about 11 p.m. July 15, someone rang the doorbell and ran at a home on Spanish Point Drive, the release said. While the occupants answered the door, a man police later identified as Logan entered the back door, armed with a BB gun.
Logan then scuffled with the occupants, a 17-year-old male and 67-year-old female, police said. During the struggle, Logan dropped the gun and ran out the door.
Police set up checkpoints in the neighborhood, which Logan and Potter passed through and were identified by officers, police said.
Logan was arrested without incident Friday, according to the release. Potter is wanted on charges of armed robbery, burglary and conspiracy.
