Man wounded in shooting at family party in Seabrook
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office reported that a man was shot during a family party on Delaney Circle in Seabrook around 10 p.m. on Friday.
The man sustained a single gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital.
According to the report, witnesses told deputies the man was involved in a verbal dispute with another man in a wooded area bordering the yard. Witnesses said they could see only the silhouette of the other man and that he fled on foot after gunshots were heard.
Deputies searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.
The victim was treated for his injury and released from Beaufort Memorial.
