Highway Patrol: Toddler struck, killed in Yemassee

A toddler was struck and killed by a vehicle in Yemassee on Monday night, the SC Highway Patrol has reported.

The 3-year-old child, whose identity was not immediately available, darted in front of an SUV being driven south on Big Estates Circle by a 48-year-old woman, said Sgt. Bob Beres.

The accident occurred around 8:05 p.m. and remains under investigation, Beres said.
