United Way's AmeriCorps program accepting applications

United Way of the Lowcountry’s AmeriCorps program is accepting applications. Members serve as reading tutors for early grade students in Beaufort and Jasper counties.

AmeriCorps members join hundreds of community volunteers to tutor in the program, known as “Read Indeed.” Members receive a small living allowance and an award.
