Beaufort County kicking off free lunch program with barbecue

The Beaufort County Parks and Leisure Services Department and the Lowcountry Food Bank are hosting a free barbecue event to kick off the PALS Summer Lunch Program.

The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 24 at the Burton Wells Regional Park at 1 Middleton Recreation Drive, Burton.

This summer, PALS is providing free lunches for kids and teens in partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
