St. Helena family of four displaced by mobile home fire
A St. Helena family of four is without a home Wednesday after a kitchen fire caused major damage to their mobile home Tuesday night.
The fire was reported around 8 p.m. on Saxonville Road, and a mother and her three children were taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation, according to an American Red Cross news release.
All utilities to the home were cut off by firefighters after the structure had heavy damage from smoke and the flames, the release said.
The family owned the home but do not have insurance or a place to stay.
The Red Cross will provide food and temporary housing for a week along with referrals to other agencies for assistance, the release said.
