Lady’s Island wrecks injure 2
Two people were injured in two separate wrecks on Lady’s Island on Sunday, according to fire officials.
The first accident occurred mid-morning near the 500 block of Sams Point Road, said Scott Harris of the Lady’s Island-St. Helena Fire District.
The driver struck a tree head on and was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, though his SUV was totaled.
At about 1 p.m., another vehicle traveling on Sams Point Road veered off near the Springfield Road intersection and struck a power pole, several guide wires and a tree, coming to rest on its side.
The driver was partially ejected and was bleeding heavily from his arm.
He was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
