St. Helena Island man wanted in connection with two armed robberies
A St. Helena Island man suspected of an armed robbery and a second attempted armed robbery is being sought by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Maurice Jenkins, 21, is wanted in connection with an April 21 robbery outside a residence on Club Road on Lady’s Island and an attempted robbery April 19 on Detour Road in Seabrook, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The victim of the Lady’s Island robbery was held at gunpoint and the suspect ran toward Sea Island Parkway.
No injuries were reportedin either robbery.
Jenkins is wanted on warrants for armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, the release said.
He should be considered armed and dangerous, the release said.
