Volunteers in Medicine recognized by philanthropy almanac

Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head, a free medical clinic, has been included in the recently released Almanac of American Philanthropy.

The organization is “featured as one of the major achievements in the history of American philanthropy,” according to a release from the clinic.

“The Almanac points to Hilton Head as the incubator for this national community-centered support for the medically underserved,” the release said.
