Bridges Preparatory hosts annual shrimp and grits cook-off
The third annual Bridges Prep Block Party Shrimp and Grits Cook-Off will be held April 23 in downtown Port Royal.
The event, presented by Ameris Bank, is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. on Parris Avenue, according to a media release.
The cook-off ballot allows tastings from each participating chef and a vote for the “People’s Choice” award for the top shrimp and grits recipe in the Lowcountry.
There will be a kids’ zone featuring a rock-climbing wall, face painting, Zorb races, bounce houses, a raffle for baskets, an art show put on by Bridges Preparatory students, corn-hole games, and a beer and wine garden.
