Ridgeland double homicide cold case remains unsolved four years later

Authorities continue to seek information related to the deaths of two men found shot at a boat landing near Ridgeland nearly four years ago.

On April 13, 2012, Jasper County authorities found the bodies of 23-year-old Watson Kyle Allen and 22-year-old Glenn Settles inside a white Chevrolet S10 pickup truck in the parking lot of Tuten’s Boat Landing, according to a South Carolina Crime Stoppers news release.

A nearby resident called law enforcement after the vehicle had been in the parking lot for some time.

The investigation conducted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division revealed the victims may have traveled from Georgia to Jasper County for a drug transaction with several individuals the evening before they were found, the release said.

Anyone with information on the cold case can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 843-726-7777, the SLED at 843-782-3822 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CrimeSC.
