United Way of the Lowcountry closing in on fundraising goal
The United Way of the Lowcountry, Inc. has reached 97 percent of its $2.5 million fundraising goal, according to a release from the group.
The donations are used “to serve over 32,000 people in the Lowcountry through direct services and financial support of programs aimed at addressing the health, education, income and basic needs of the community,” the release said.
The fundraising campaign ends Thursday.
