Three armed robberies in Beaufort believed related
Beaufort Police are investigating three separate armed robberies where the victims reported being held at gunpoint by two men over the weekend.
The first incident was reported on Craven Street Saturday around 10:30 p.m., according to the Police Department’s incident report.
An officer met with the caller who said two African American teens held a gun to his head as he walked from the Old Bull Tavern toward the Beaufort Arsenal Museum. The caller said the teens demanded his belongings before they fled. No suspects were found, the report said.
The second robbery happened near the intersection of North and Harrington streets two hours later around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
The victim also told officers that two suspects had taken items at gunpoint.
The final robbery happened around 6:20 a.m. on Scott Street where another victim was robbed at gunpoint by two African American males who also got away, the report said.
That victim reported being physically assaulted, but refused EMS services.
