Africa missions topic of conference on Hilton Head
The public is invited to a panel discussion followed by a worship service Friday during a conference on Hilton Head Island linking American churches to their missions in Africa.
“Cultural Proficiency in Mission Partnerships” is the topic of the discussion, which begins at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway.
Panelists include the director of missions for the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination, and the moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, which has 4 million members in more than 1,000 churches.
The public event is part of the annual conference of the Kenya Mission Network, a collaboration of churches and presbyteries within the PC(USA) that have active mission partnerships in Kenya.
