WinnCompanies offers scholarships for eligible Beaufort residents

WinnCompanies, which provides property-management and maintenance services at Atlantic Marine Corps Communities, Tri-Command in Beaufort, is offering scholarships to residents.

High school seniors, high school graduates and GED holders living in communities managed by WinnCompanies are invited to apply for WinningEdge scholarship awards for the 2016-2017 academic year. The program is intended to support residents pursuing post-secondary education at a college, university or professional trade school, according to Gilbert Winn, chief executive officer of WinnCompanies.

Scholarship awards generally start at $1,000. All completed applications must be submitted to the local Atlantic Marines Communities Community Office no later than April 1 for consideration.
