Tabby House cat adoption center in Beaufort to hold fundraiser

Tabby House, a cat adoption center in Beaufort, will hold a wine-tasting fundraiser later this month at Tacaron in Okatie.

The event is Feb. 27 from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and the wine and cigar bar on S.C. 170 near the intersection at Callawassie Island. Entry is $10, with proceeds going to the facility in Beaufort Town Center. In addition, 10 percent of wine sales will be donated to the rescue center, an affiliate of Beaufort County Animal Shelter.

Tabby House has adopted out more than 500 cats since opening three years ago, according to a release.
